Directions: follow these steps in order to prepare yourself for the culminating project.

  1. Read at least one of the following articles pertaining to Global Warming and watch at least one video to complete the klw document. If you don't have Microsoft Word, click here. If these articles aren't age appropriate try the: Environmental Protection Agency for Kids

  1. Open up the document on video questions. This document requires the user to gather facts from various online video clips from ABC News. I am also making videos available for viewing on our computers. Teachers who use this document can guide students to their own videos about global warming. You can also use the videos from the links above.

  2. Read more articles or compile facts from the klw sheet to gather information about facts and solutions to global warming. Some possible sites:
  1. This document poses questions that require the student go give their opinions about topics pertaining to global warming.

  2. Students will create a poster that has an environmental quote, a picture to compliment the quote and the name of the author and image source. See example one and example two. Get the tutorial on how to create a poster: Poster Tutorial

  3. Students will look at data pertaining to world carbon dioxide emissions. They will create several graphs using Microsoft Excel to show disparities in world carbon dioxide emissions. Graph Lesson

  4. Students can create a cover page for a newsletter. Get templates and see some of the examples by reviewing step six on this link.

  5. Students will create a multimedia presentation that takes a stance on global warming. The purpose of the presentation is to educate the audience about global warming. The concluding slides will provide the audience solutions to the problem. Get the PDF lesson on how to set up presentations in Window's Movie Maker .
