This is a unit of study that has been set up for students to gather fast and accurate information to get facts about animals and bugs in order to create children's books, create posters or make brochures. These links have been made available to speed up the production of a final product. I strongly encourage teaching students to be able to do their own research so they can be self sufficient at gathering their own information. I do believe it takes great understanding, experience time and skill to quickly determine if the site being evaluated is reliable. • Animal Diversity Web: Animal Diversity Web is an online database that provides various information about animals sponsored by the University of Michigan.
• Especies Fact Sheets: Especies is an electronic fact sheet that offers information on over 50 species.
• Switch Zoo: this link provides fun facts about unique animals.

Bugs: Get reliable facts from the following sites about bugs.

• Buginfo: This site talks about some of the extremes in relation to bugs. You can use this site to gather bug names and research other sources.
• National Geographic: This wonderful and resourceful site will provide fun facts about bugs and animals.
• Scholastic: Scholastic knows how to interest any reader. Click on this link if you want interesting material for any project.
