Photo searches can take place at AskJeeves or by doing a Google web search on a particular image of interest. When searching on the web, using Google, type in the image you want to find and then add gallery, images, clipart or photos. For example, if you want images of skiing, you would perform the following possible searches: skiing + photos; skiing + images; skiing + gallery; or skiing + clipart. Get Public Domain Images !
This link demonstrates how a website gallery could be set up. The example provided incorporates the use of the same person being used with different hats in various settings. It is intended to demonstrate how clever one can be when properly using the tools of Adobe Photoshop. This method is particularly beneficial to students that recreate hypothetical or fake websites. The production of fake websites in computer class is to allow students to realize how easy it is to make sites that might fool the unsaavy Internet user.
Students can get images that have already been manipulated to create sites based around these distorted creatures. The original images are from Pics4Learning and Geek Philosopher, sites that provides copyright friendly images for education. See Pics4Learning image use policy as of September 18th, 2005.
