The Doglephante is a mix of an elephant, a dog with a turkey tail.  It is a very powerful and good swimmer.  This animal has a very weird language. It sounds like a turkey with a small bark mixed in. It mainly lives in large open spaces because it likes to run and is very loud when they run.  They are hunted so they are becoming an endangered species. Because they are endangered, many people haven't seen them lately. A doglephante eats a lot of food including many dry foods. The doglephante diet includes lots of plants, but they also eat meat and they are highly allergic to sunflowers. The doglephante can run 60 mph, which is 10 mph less than a cheetah. This makes them the 2nd fastest animal in the world.  Many people think that the Doglephante is related to a turkey because of the tail. Many scientists believe that they are somewhat related but it was so long ago that it was not recorded. They are commonly found in the dry areas of Africa, including some parts of the Sahara desert. They are capable of not eating or drinking for 3 weeks, which is why they live so long. The Doglephante lives around 15 years. They live with there parents for as long as there whole life. But most live with there parents for only 5 years. They usually weigh anywhere from around 3.5 to 7 tons.  There babies are born after 12 months.  The Doglephante is scared of many things but mostly of humans they aren’t used to seeing them so they get really scared. There predators include cheetahs, humans, and crocodiles.  Many Doglephante have blue eyes or brown, but most of the time they have one blue and one brown.  As you can see the doglephante is a very interesting animal.  They can swim very fast and they can hear from miles away. They also have great night vision. The doglephante has many interesting facts. Some of my favorites are that they can stay underwater for 5 minutes without taking a breath.   They can see very well in the dark and can walk with out any sound. Many people love learning about interesting animals. well many people would consider this a very interesting animal, so I hope you enjoyed reading about the Doglephante.
