Venezuela:
Photo taken in by Linda Oaks in Caracas Venezuela. It is the
Catedral de Nuestra Seņora de la Corteza.
South Americans try to reach this destination at least once in their lifetime.
Venezuela is
roughly the size of California. It has a hot and dry climate.
One of the lowest points in Venezuela is
Los Nevados,
a remote village of isolated farmers. The highest point in
Venezuela is
Pico Bolivar.
Some of Venezuela's
exports include petroleum, aluminum, steel, chemicals and
bauxite. Their agricultural products include corn, sugarcane,
rice, beef and fish. When meeting a large group in Venezuela, be
sure to introduce yourself to the eldest person first. It is
important to say goodbye to the entire group as a whole when
departing. Though Venezuelans expect you to use utensils to eat
most food, it is ok to eat fruit with your hands. Be sure to eat
everything on your plate so you don't offend the host. The host
might think you weren't pleased with the meal. They can be
considered some of the most opinionated and obstinate people in
South America. |
