The Bufigog is the loudest of the the animals on our island. Every year the natives of the island go hunting for this cacophonous animal. When caught, they use them to tell time because the Bufigog croaks like a clock every hour on the hour. These animals must be in soundproof cages at all times, to dampen the sound, due to unexpected rampages that can end up in deafness or paralyzation. This animal can be heard from five miles off the coast of California.
The Cronkey is the smallest  bird that lives on our island. In fact the picture to the left is actual size. The birds are know to commit mass suicide every year on October 12 due to their extremely large numbers. They are often very emotional and cry throughout the night in group of more than 500. Previous generations of natives have tried to kill of this species but have failed due to their rapid reproduction rates. each female gives birth to about 600 babies a year having a life span of about 2 years.
The Gizard is the main source of transportation on the island. they can carry the equivalent amount of a school bus of kids in area and a house in weight. The Gizard's length can vary from 40-60 feet from child to adult. This animal has the ability to burrow underground which is where it lives. Earthquakes are often caused by this animal due to its constant migrations underground.
The Tranekey is a distant relative to the the Cronkey, but unlike the Cronkey, it is a lot larger and not a pest. Because of its muscular legs it is one of the fastest animals on the island. Instead of a turkey, on Thanksgiving, the natives  feast on the hard to catch but very delectable Tranekey. This animal. wanders nearby the lakes of the island because it is afraid of open land.
The Dinobird is the only carnivorous animal on the island of Semperu. Because of this it is often bred in large numbers to attempt to wipe out the Cronkey species. Even though it is carnivorous it has never harmed a human and often tries to cuddle with them. It is often fleeing the island 5 hours prior to a volcano eruption, making them a useful volcano warning systems.
The Walapeord is the most vicious creature on our island.  Although vegetarian, about five people every year die from Walapeord attacks.  The attacks are usually caused because Walapeords are blind.  When humans walk by them, they think they are walking flowers, so they attack.  Once they realize the person is really meat, they immediately stop and fly away.  All Walapeords have been injected with GPS chips, so we know where they are at all times.
The Legendary Flammalogo is our national symbol.  There are only three on the island, so you are very lucky if you see one.  They look ghost like in appearance, but are completely solid.  They roam the top of Mount Semperu.  Flammalogos are able to withstand extreme heat, so during the night, they sleep in Mount Semperu which is a volcano.  When people are in danger throughout the island, Flammalogos are known to save people.  So far, they have saved ten people from Walapeord attacks.
The Squebra is the most popular pet on the island.  They are about the size of a house cat and hover about one foot of the ground.  Squebras are involved in the most popular sport in Semperu, Squebra racing.  Many people make there living off breeding Squebras.  The current Squebra racing record is 50 miles per hour.  Squebras are very obedient and understand all human languages.  The only downside of having a Squebra is that you can't contain them because they will float over anything.
The Monkiss is almost as large as the Gizard.  The Monkiss is an extremely slow creature.  It takes eight hours for it to travel one mile.  Monkiss's slow reaction time make it able to crush and entire village.  However, once a year, the Monkiss will be able to move at the speed of light for five minutes.  Because of this, Monkisses have been found in the far recesses of space by the Hubble Telescope.  They have also been found in big craters underground in China.
The Purtle has an extremely hard shell that will protect it from anything.  Because of this, the natives use this animal during times of war.  The natives will strap bombs to the Purtle and have it charge into enemy territory.  The bombs will go off, but the Purtle will be completely unharmed.  Purtles are also used as barriers during combat.  During times of peace, Purtles are treated like kings and given anything they desire.  The average lifespan of a Purtle is 150 years.
