Attractions
Fly on one of Gaiana's most popular attraction: Scenic Helicopter Tours!  The helicopters are flown by licensed pilots and fit up to six passengers.  Our pilots know the layout of the Island, and they will fly around the coast and land at a small island off of Gaiana Island.  Here passengers can get off and explore the small island for half an hour.  Tours are two hours long and depart at three hour intervals.  Costs depend on the time of year and times of operation.  Note: Reservations are required 24 hours in advance.  Helicopters do not fly on rainy days.  Rain checks can and will be issued.
This is the Rose Restaurant.  The Rose Restaurant serves a variety of foods ranging from Chinese to Hawaiian.  Our menu prices range from $5-$15 for breakfast, $7-$16 for lunch, and $10-$20 for dinner per meal.  Only the best high quality food is served here.  We have seating both indoors and outside on the balcony looking over at the ocean.  The picture at the left shows the entrance to the Rose Restaurant.  Rollover to see our balcony.  During our busy season, reservations may be required for dinner.  To reserve a table, please call (245)451-2565.
Welcome to Gaiana's Oneka Museum, located on Katone Lake.  This is where you can find all of the artifacts left behind by the native islanders, including a complete 1,500 year old skeleton!  The museum does not have a gift shop, but you can buy replicas of most of the museum's objects at the Kosan and Toren Gift Shops.  Admission fee is as follows: Adults-$12, Children (2-15)-$8, Children (under 2)-free, Seniors (65+)-$8, and Annual pass (all ages)-$150 per year.  The museum does have facilities as well as Ruth's Ice Cream Shoppe, home to world-famous ice cream.  Rollover to see a picture of the Shoppe.  Whether you are a serious archeologist or a family, the Oneka Museum is sure to please you.
One of the most popular attractions is the Rannik Board Walk.  All of the paths are paved, making it perfect for people with disabilities.  Many bridges cross the Élan Stream.  Surrounding the board walk are gardens with an exotic variety of tropical flowers.  To see one of the gardens, rollover the picture.  We also have a wishing pool.  Many people come to our wishing pool to relax.  I personally recommend the wishing pool if you are stressed out.  For a peaceful walk, come to the Rannik Board Walk.
This is the Surf and Spray Shop.  The shop is especially helpful for surfers who need to repair their boards.  The picture shown at the left is the Surf and Spray Shop's extensive collection of windsurfing equipment.  In addition to surf equipment, the shop also has a cafe.  The Gavran Cafe is perfect for lunch.  They serve a variety of items, including sandwiches, soup, and salads.  If you just want to try out surfing or windsurfing, we do have lessons.  For $50, a trained instructor will teach you how to surf.  In addition to surfing, the Surf and Spray Shop has snorkeling and diving equipment.  For all of your aquatic needs, come to the Surf and Spray Shop.
This is one of Gaiana's most fascinating wonders.  The water drops over 600 feet, crashing down into the Paldan River.  A trail goes to the base of the fall.  For the more adventurous people, a trail was carved into the cliff's side.  Five thousand steps climb steeply up the cliff to the very top.  This hike normally takes seven hours.  One of the most surprising thing people find at the top is the crater of an extinct volcano.  Rollover the picture to see this amazing view that makes the hike worth the trouble.  We recommend that you camp at the top because going down takes 8 hours.  To accommodate campers, the Summit Cafe was built.  There are also facilities such as showers and bathroom.  Whether you hike to the base of the waterfall or climb to the top, this is certainly one of Gaiana's most fascinating hikes.
The picture on the left shows one of the least well-know attractions on Gaiana Island.  For $15 per person, you can take a gentle ride in a canoe down the Paldan River.  Every five miles, there are docks if you want to end your trip.  Eventually, after thirty miles, the Paldan River will flow into the ocean.  People wanting to go out to the ocean will need to obtain a permit from Gaiana Island's headquarters.  The permit costs $40.  Each canoe is watertight and comes with life jackets and two paddles.
